A FAN of the television quiz show The Chase will be able to watch himself answering the questions in his living room tonight.

Hussain Mulla, 27 from Blackburn, took part in a recording of the ITV teatime favourite in October hoping to follow in the footsteps of Wilpshire resident David Hinder who won £12,000 last year and Accrington man Paul Rishton who won nearly £20,000 in 2011.

The customer adviser at Blackburn Town Hall’s performance as one of four contestants when faced with a top-class quizzer or ‘Chaser’ will be broadcast at 5pm today.

Since filming at London’s Elstree Studios, Audley’s Mr Mulla has been tight-lipped about whether he got through the first round let alone won money in the final team ‘Chase’.

Mr Hussain said: “Two of the things on my bucket list are to appear on TV and to be on a quiz show so I’ve managed to do both.

“The Chase is great. I watch it every night while I am having my tea and I have always wanted to go on the show.

“It was nerve-wracking but once I started making a few jokes I felt more comfortable and host Bradley Walsh was hilarious. I did try to revise as much as possible but there is only so much you can do when it comes to general knowledge.”
