Rovers reporter Rich Sharpe hands out his player ratings from the 1-1 draw at Bristol Rovers

David Raya 7

One excellent save to deny Harrison and dealt with several high balls in to the area. Was a relative spectator for long spells in the first-half.

Elliott Bennett 7

Strong worth ethic at both right-back and central midfield but wasted a late counter-attacking opportunity when he couldn’t find Graham.

Darragh Lenihan 7

Troubled by Harrison twice in the first half but settled down when moved to right-back in the second period.

Charlie Mulgrew 7

Converted the penalty for his 13th of the season and a late mix-up with Raya apart, looked sound in his defensive work.

Derrick Williams 6

Only he will know how he failed to miss from two yards out. Given a tricky afternoon by the lively Byron Moore

Richie Smallwood 7 (MAN OF THE MATCH)

Won more than his fair share of personal duels and one important block in the first half to deny Kyle Bennett. Won the penalty from which Mulgrew converted and put in a good shift at Rovers tried to hold out.

Corry Evans 7

Used the ball better than most in the opening half but unfortunately forced off at the break with a tight hamstring.

Craig Conway 6

Tried his best with some strong running but drifted out of the game in the second period before being replaced.

Bradley Dack 6

Missed a great chance from Graham’s pass. Drifted around the pitch to try and influence the game but replaced on the hour mark.

Adam Armstrong 6

Looked better when moved centrally in the second half. Fired over after a neat turn with the score at 1-0.

Danny Graham 6

Rovers looked to utilise him at every chance. Headed one effort over and another saved late on but should have claimed an assist for Dack in the first half.

Subs

Paul Downing (for Evans, 46) 7

In the right place on so many occasions after coming on as the hosts pressed for an equaliser.

Dominic Samuel (for Conway, 59) 5

Given little chance to show his attacking instincts but wasn't afraid to get back and held out defensively.

Jack Payne (for Dack, 59) 5

Didn't make the most of some promising breaks forward.
