THOSE who live in Shadsworth will make their cinema debut in the launch of a short film next week.
Landsharks, a 15 minute film raising awareness of loan sharks, will be shown at Bureau Centre for Arts.
The film stars Shadsworth residents and follows the life of a young teenage boy whose mum is struggling to make ends meat.
The teen, AJ, turns to a loan shark for money.
Dominic Harrison, director of public health at Blackburn with Darwen Council, said: “I really welcome this film and I am delighted it has been made in Blackburn.”
The free showing will take place at the centre in Victoria Street, Blackburn, on Thursday, April 5 from noon to 2pm. Free financial and debt will also be available.
