ARE you stuck for fun things to do with the family this Easter?

If so, don’t worry — there is something for everyone from treasure hunts to fairground rides and a pub family fun day. The Lancashire Telegraph has put together a list of the best boredom busters taking place in and around East Lancashire.

1. Enjoy rides galore at Blackburn Easter Fair at Witton Park. The fair opened yesterday and runs until Sunday, April 8 from noon until 9pm. One of Lancashire’s biggest Easter fun fairs, thrill seekers can enjoy the dodgems, caterpillar coaster, a helter skelter and many more attractions. Free entry and rides cost up to £2.50.

2. Get crafty with Easter activities at Oswaldtwistle Mills. From Monday until April 13, Oswaldtwistle Mills will host a variety of activities including beads and bracelets and keyring making, mini canvases and cross-stitching, alongside Easter egg hunts on Easter Sunday and Monday with prizes to be won.

3. Head down to Pendle Leisure Trust’s Easter Egg Hunt. This free Easter egg hunt not only involves special eggs and prizes to be won, but there will also be a visit from the Easter Bunny on Easter Sunday, from 10am, at Seedhill Athletics and Fitness Centre, Nelson. After the hunt there will be a bouncy castle and sports day races for all the family.

4. Family Fun Day at the Bridgewater pub, Darwen, on Easter Monday. There will be chocolate treats and activities including a children’s party, from noon until 2pm, a disco with prizes and live sports screened throughout the day. A full food menu will be served until 9pm.

The hall’s opening day is Wednesday, March 28, when visitors will be able to enjoy pace egging — the Lancashire tradition of decorated boiled eggs being rolled for prizes.

6. Take part in free, furry, interactive workshops at your local Pets at Home store, where you can pet rabbits and learn fun facts about the animals. From Wednesday until April 8 at stores including Blackburn, Nova Scotia Retail Park. To find your nearest workshop, visit petsathome.com/workshops
