A MAN has appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of a mental health nurse.
Oliver Elliot, 22, appeared at Preston Crown Court over video link and spoke only to confirm his name, address and nationality.
Elliot, of Parklands Court, Accrington, did not enter a plea to a single count of attempted murder during the hearing, which lasted around 10 minutes.
It is alleged he attempted to kill Cheryl Robinson at Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital on February 2, this year.
Judge Mark Brown, The Honorary Recorder of Preston, adjourned the case to Friday, June 8.
Elliot was remanded into custody
A provisional trial date was set for Monday, August 6, this year.
