A 27 year old woman sought solace in drink after discovering her soldier boyfriend was in a relationship with someone else.
And things got worse for Rebecca King when she crashed into a parked car as she drove home and then failed a breathalyser.
King, of Mosley Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol. She was fined £276 with £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge and banned for three years after the court heard it was her second drink driving conviction within 10 years.
Colleen Dickinson-Jones, defending, said the news of her boyfriend's infidelity had devastated King.
"She went to her aunty's where she had some wine," said Mrs Dickinson-Jones. "She felt alright but when she got out of the car she was visibly shaking and upset according to the police officers who attended."
