AT first glance, this photograph from the Lancashire Telegraph archives looks as though it was taken in grounds of a stately home.
But, in actual fact, the picture shows the rose garden below the keep at Clitheroe Castle.
Taken in 1958, the photograph shows the impressive ornamental fountains as couples and families enjoyed a stroll around this secluded spot not far from the town centre.
