JAMES have announced that they are to play a show in Blackburn in May, one of just seven dates in the UK.

The Manchester band, best known for the hits Sit Down and She's A Star, normally play arena sized venues and have a series of major festival dates booked this summer.

But the band wanted to play smaller venues which they have not visited for many years.

Lead singer Tim Booth said: "After the intimacy of the Manchester Albert Hall gig we decided to try a small tour of smallish venues. We'll see you in the mega domes later in the year!"

These shows will be their first run of dates in the UK since the success of their 2016 release Girl at the End of the World which reached number two in the charts, their most successful album in almost 20 years.

Tickets for the show at King George's Hall, Blackburn, on Saturday, May 19 go on sale at 10am next Friday, March 23, from www.gigasndtours.com and www.kinggeorgeshall.com
