A MAN is being sought in relation to a violent break-in and assault.
Police would like to speak with Craig Whyte, 36, in connection with a break-in and assault on two people which left one with serious injuries.
A police spokesman said two offenders 'used violence' to gain entry to a property in Nelson on January 27.
Once inside, two people were assaulted, one of which suffered serious injuries the spokesman said.
PC Hannah Bibby of Colne Police has warned people not to approach Mr Whyte.
She said: “If you see Whyte or know of his whereabouts, please do not approach him and contact police.
“We would also urge Whyte, if he sees this appeal, to speak to us in relation to this incident.”
It is believed that Whyte has links to Nelson, Hapton, Burnley and Colne.
