"These are things I would use, and there are lots of hardworking people like single mums out there who want this sort of thing.

"We want to take this to Mars."

A launch night was held at the salon on Thursday, as regular customers came along for a pampering and Prosecco.

Mrs Houghton, 29, from Blackburn, has been working in the beauty industry for seven years and opened her salon last year.

She said: "It's great for the town to be launching this here.

"It's great for the salon as well.

"We're hoping the products will take off, we've got big plans, we want to go all over with them.

"We've worked hard and we're confident this is going to go places and get a lot of interest.

"I don't think there's anything else out there like this."

The first products they have launched are a skin cleanser and two active day serums.

The products will be available online, with more set to be launched.

Sam and Emma have big plans for business growth and hope to take it worldwide.

Another launch will be taking place in Manchester on March 1 and already 'hundreds of celebrities' have signed up for the guest list.

People in the area can also get treatments and facials with the new products from the salon.

The founders said their signature medical skincare range has been specifically developed to maintain good skin health on a daily basis.

It includes lightweight, non-oily hydrators and skin revitalising serums to stimulate collagen and elastin, whilst helping skin repair and renew more rapidly.
