Shopping thief

A MAN has been fined £80 after admitting to stealing £90 of shopping from Asda in Colne.
Neil Fraser, 36, of Deerstone Avenue, Burnley, committed the offence on December 27.

Driver had no insurance

A MAN has been given eight penalty points after admitting to driving without a valid licence or insurance.
Magistrates heard how Ashley John Hardacre, 26, of Lower Tentre, Burnley, committed both offences in a Vauxhall Viva in Padiham Road, Burnley, on January 26.
Hardacre was also fined £300, ordered to pay £85 prosecution costs and a £30 surcharge to fund victim services.

Driver banned

A MAN has been fined £120 after being found guilty of driving without due care and attention.
Magistrates heard how Thomas Oliver, 35, of Hargreaves Road, Oswaldtwistle, committed the offence in a Vauxhall Corsa in Burnley on March 22, 2017. 
He was also banned from driving for six months, told to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.

Drink-driver given ban

A WOMAN has been disqualified for 12 months after pleading guilty to drink-driving.

Magistrates heard Jill Marie Robinson, 43, of Stubley Holme, Todmorden, committed the offence in Cliviger on January 24. 

She was fined £154, told to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge to fund victim services.

Order breach

A SEX offender has been fined for failing to comply with a notification requirement between December and January. Stephen Jackson, 25, of Willows Cottage, Accrington, pleaded guilty.

Driver given ban

LLOYD Standen, 23, of Albert Street, Burnley, has been disqualified for 17 months and told to do 140 hours unpaid work after admitting to drink-driving and assaulting a police officer.
