A MAN who was discovered collapsed outside a petrol station in Accrington has died,police have confirmed.
The man, named locally as Matt Kelly, suffered a suspected bleed on the brain.
The 40-year-old was found by police officers outside the Esso Petrol Station, across from the old Accrington police and fire station at the bottom of the Manchester Road junction with Abbey Street, at around 11.30pm on Saturday.
He was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital in a critical condition on Saturday night but officers confirmed that he has since died.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.
Police had issued an appeal to trace a woman they wanted to speak to who was in the company of the man before he was found collapsed. Officers confirmed they have since spoken to the woman who assisted with their enquiries.
