HEALTH chiefs want to hear the views of patients on the future of NHS immunisation programmes.

People living in Lancashire and South Cumbria and East Lancashire or Blackburn with Darwen, have been asked to take part in an online survey.

NHS England said its wants to hear their views about vaccinations available to them and their children by the health service.

The survey will close on Sunday, March 11.

Answers will help shape the design of the immunisation programmes going forward.

Some diseases can kill children or cause lasting damage to their health, which means their immune system needs help to fight those diseases.

Immunisation gives protection against some infectious diseases, with vaccines stimulating the body to produce antibodies that fight infection.

Immunisation is also known as ‘vaccination’, ‘jab’ or ‘injection’.

People have been asked to share the survey link with friends, family and colleagues, so that as much insight and feedback as possible can be gathered.
