Fire crews from Bacup
FIREFIGHTERS were called to free a trapped animal.
Fire crews were called to reports of a dog trapped underneath a metal container near commercial premises in Blackwood Road, Stacksteads shortly before 10am.
A fire service spokesman said when they arrived at the scene they found a dog stuck under a large steel container.
They safely rescued the animal using a pedal cutter, partner saw and a high pressure air bag the spokesman said.
