THE first headliners have been revealed for this summer's Livewire Festival in Blackpool.

RnB superstars Boyz II Men and Matt Goss will be performing at the Tower Headland on Thursday, August 23 - the opening concert of the four-day event.

This will be the second year of the festival which attracted the likes of Will Smith and Jazzy Jeff and the Jacksons last year.

Boyz II Men hold the distinction of being the best-selling R&B group of all time, have sold 60 million albums around the world.

Matt Goss, formerly lead singer with Eighties' favourites Bros, has more recently established himself as a solo performer in his own right, selling out shows in London and in Las Vegas.

The Livewire dates will be the only chance UK audiences will get to see the two artists.

Tickets for the show on Thursday, July 23 go on sale at 10am on Friday, February 16 from www.livewirefestival.co.uk

Other headline acts will be announced in the coming weeks.
