THE final open day event of a college's academic year will take place next month.

Prospective students and parents have been invited to attend the event at Nelson and Colne College (NCC) between 5.30pm and 7.30pm to look at its facilities and curriculum.

Interactive demonstrations will be taking place across the college on the night and there will also be the opportunity to speak to the college's career zone staff.

Staff will be on hand to talk about the personalised support available to students as well as the travel options to and from the NCC.

Principal Amanda Melton said: “If you did not manage to make either of our open events in the autumn, our February event is ideal for Year 11 students who have not yet made a decision on their future.

"If you have already attended an event, but have some further questions or simply want another look around, then please do come along to speak to our expert staff and see how the college can help you in preparing for your future.

"We know choosing the right college is a big step so come along to explore the outstanding provision and the vast opportunities here at NCC.

“With our career college ethos, we see students progressing on to exciting jobs, apprenticeships and some of the top universities in the country every year."
