FIREFIGHTERS have extinguished a fire in the garage of a property in Blackburn.
Crews from Blackburn and Hyndburn Stations were initially called out to reports a house was on fire in Tiverton Drive.
But when they arrived at the property at 4pm today they found a garage attached to the house was alight.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus went into the garage and used a ventilation fan to extinguish the fire.
Nobody was injured.
The origin of the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
Firefighters left the scene at around 5pm.
A fire service spokesman said: “Firefighters from Blackburn and Hyndburn were called to a domestic building fire. However when they arrived they found the fire involved the garage of the property which was attached.
“Four firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire.
“Crews were in attendance for an hour.”
