A FILMMAKER is looking for parents featured in a short film for Random Acts North.

Award winning filmmaker Natasha Hawthornthwaite of Northern Heart Films will be creating a short documentary for Random Acts North, funded by Arts England.

The Darwen based filmmaker said the film will incorporate the experiences of parents to find out what parenthood is really like.

She said:"I'm looking for local people to take part in the film.

"I want to hear honest accounts from parents and find out what parenthood is really like.

"The film will explore different accounts of parenthood.

"I want to hear from people who are really proud of their kids, people who wish they'd done things differently and people who don't like how their kids turned out."

Ms Hawthornthwaite said she would like to both feature men and women who's children are now grown up.

She said: "I think it's going to be very interesting.

"I'd like to include a range of ages, but focus mainly on people with grown up children.

"Those taking part will have the choice to have their voice included or have their experience voiced by actors."
