A 49-YEAR-OLD man was found in possession of heroin and crack cocaine after police responded to reports of drug dealing in the Infirmary area of Blackburn.

Blackburn magistrates heard more drugs were found when police carried out a search of the home of Neil Roberts.

Roberts, of Leach Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to possessing crack cocaine and heroin with intent to supply.

He was committed on bail to Preston Crown Court to be sentenced on February 12.

Michael Church-Taylor, prosecuting, said it was accepted that Roberts was a street-level dealer. He wasn’t prepared to name the person who was supplying him.

“He invented a mysterious Scouser who was meant to be living at his home but there was no sign of him,” said Mr Church-Taylor.
