A MAN in his 80s crashed into a car on the opposite side of the road.
The driver of the BMW collided into a Toyota Auris on the opposite side of the carriageway in Colne Road, Burnley yesterday at 3pm.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Services attended the scene and rescued the female driver of the Toyota from her vehicle.
Police said the two drivers, who are both from Burnley, were taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital.
Both drivers, a woman in her 60s and a man in his 80s were taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary suffering neck and back injuries.
The road was closed while the vehicles were recovered and remained shut until 7.40pm.
