A BAKERY has celebrated Christmas in style this year with the creation of a festive pie.

Baxenden-based Holland's Pies have brought out a limited edition Christmas Dinner pie.

It includes everything one would need to complete a festive dinner, with diced roast turkey breast, chipolata sausage, pork stuffing balls, mini roast potatoes, and chunks of smoked bacon covered in cranberry and herb gravy, topped with edible glitter.

Pie enthusiasts across East Lancashire will be able to get their own Christmas Dinner pie by entering the company's competition.

Hungry fans have been asked to head to Holland's Pies Facebook and Twitter Pages to find out how to enter.

Five lucky winners will be chosen after the competition closes on Monday at 9am.

The winners will receive their winning pies in time for Christmas Day.

Lancashire Telegraph reporter Neil Athey was able to sample the limited edition pie and his review was posted onto our website.

The 166-year-old bakery has suggested it may add the pie to its range if enough positive feedback is found.

Leanne Holcroft, brand manager at Holland’s Pies, said: "We want to give back to our loyal customers this festive season and what better way than free pie-tastic Christmas Dinner pies.

"This is a first for Holland’s and we’re looking forward to seeing who ends up as the lucky winners – who knows, they could be tucking into a delicious pie on Christmas Day.

"Keep your eyes peeled in 2018 too as this trial could mean introducing the pie to our range next Christmas."
