THE father who 'lost almost everything' after thieves ransacked his flat and stole his three-year-old girl's toys has offered a £1,000 reward to find the person responsible.

Bricklayer Adam Foster said he felt crushed after burglars smashed their way through a bricked-up window of his flat in Deardengate, Haslingden in October.

Thieves had stolen around 100 items, which included sound equipment, lighting from the 37-year-old's home, which was above the Royal British Legion Social Club.

Among the item's include his daughter, Grace's precious Postman Pat toy box.

The part-time DJ said the value of all the items was around £7,000 in total.

Posting his renewed appeal on Facebook, he said: "I’m now offering a £1000 reward upon the conviction of the person who stole all my daughters toys, clothes, toy box and wardrobe.

"This also also included the DJ equipment and my glasses."

Speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph last month, Mr Foster, who lives along in the flat, said his daughter was going to be heartbroken when she found out the bad news.

He said: "The van was bespoke and pretty much one of a kind, its monetary value is nothing compared to the emotional value.

"I had not been in my flat in a week but I had heard about several break-ins recently and went to check on it.

"I got there and saw a hole in a bricked-up window and when I got inside everything had been taken."

Police said the incident took place between October 11 and October 26.

The burglary came as police revealed there had been a spate of house burglaries in Rossendale during the month.

Community leaders said they were concerned to hear burglaries in Haslingden, Helmshore and Crawshawbooth were being investigated by officers.

Police said thieves have been targeting properties in the daytime by smashing windows or doors with a brick.

Mr Foste added: "If anyone has any information on the whereabouts please contact Lancashire Police quoting reference number EF1712283."
