HUNDREDS of shoppers and workers have been evacuated from a shopping centre.
Alarms are sounding in Blackburn town centre outside the Mall and Market at around 3pm.
They were evacuated out of Blackburn Market onto Church Street and also from the Mall onto King William Street.
Loraine Jones, general manager at the Mall, said: "The Mall Blackburn was safely evacuated this afternoon after the fire alarms were activiated.
"Following a full inspection, it was confirmed that there was no fire and customers were allowed back in to carry on with their shopping."
