THE death of a young father who crashed his car into a tree is still being investigated by police.

Officers investigating the fatal crash, which claimed the life of 24-year-old Corey Hudson, are re-appealing for witnesses.

Mr Hudson suffered severe head injuries after his car crashed into a tree in Slade Lane, Padiham, at around 9.40pm on Friday, September 29 at 9.40pm.

He was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital along with his two passengers but died a short time later.

A 27-year-old man suffered neck, head and shoulder injuries while a second passenger, aged 30, suffered injuries to his pelvis and ribs in the collision.

The road was closed for more than four hours while accident investigators attended the scene.

Mr Hudson worked at JPN Auto Parts in Marlborough Street, Burnley.

A spokesman said he had worked there for around six years and was a sales advisor.

Mr Hudson's friends said he was ‘loved by everyone’.

After his death a GoFundMe page was set up to help pay for his funeral.

Despite an initial appeal for information last month officers still want to trace witnesses to the collision.

Acting Sergeant Lee Harris said: "These are tragic circumstances and my thoughts continue to remain with Mr Hudson's family and friends.

"While we launched an initial appeal for information following the collision, we still want to find witnesses to establish exactly what happened.

"A young man has died and it is important we gather the facts to conduct a full investigation.
