A YOUTH darts group held a special training session.
Blackburn Youth Darts Academy, which was launched in March this year, coaches children aged six to 18 years to play darts and develop their dart skills.
The coaches also improve children's mathematics playing through darts.
Darren Barson, the operations manager for junior darts corporation, made a guest appearance at the weekend's coaching session.
Keith Brunt, the academy director, said: "First time Darren has met me and talked to the parents of the members.
"He gave us a great review.
"We had a coaching session and a knockout tournament which involved 18 children.
"They all got really engaged in it.
"We thought it was a really successful coaching session and puts us on the map as one of the top academies in the country."
Sessions are held every Saturday at Beechwood Road Working Mens Club, on Beechwood Road, Blackburn from 4pm to 5.30pm.
