A 29-YEAR-OLD man spent three nights in a police cell after being arrested at his dad's house.
Blackburn magistrates heard James Andrew French was banned from his father's address by the conditions of a restraining order.
But the court was told he had been there not only with his dad's permission but by his invitation.
French, 29, of Norfolk Grove, Accrington, pleaded guilty to breach of a restraining order. He was fined £120 with £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.
Alex Mann, prosecuting, said both men were present at the address and the police had attended after being told by a third party that the son was present.
"The defendant was a little aggressive when the police arrived but that was not directed towards his father," said Mrs Mann.
Ian Huggan, defending, said his client had issues with his girlfriend and his dad had called him and arranged for him to go round to his house.
"Dad initially refused to let the police in," said Mr Huggan.
