DANNY Graham admits there is no more ‘Incredible Sulk’, after accepting manager Tony Mowbray’s rotation policy is for the good of the team.

The Rovers boss has tinkered with his side according to the opposition.

That meant Graham missed out on a starting place against Wigan, despite previously scoring in the 3-0 win over Portsmouth.

The striker’s disappointment came after enduring a spell on the bench on the back of an indifferent start to the season.

Graham admits he did not take being overlooked in the XI well initially, but now appreciates the bigger picture.

“I sulked at the start but I get on with it because if the boys see you sulking and they’re left out one week they think it’s fine to do that as well,” he admitted.

“We need to stick together, get on with it, and when the chance comes for you, make sure you take it.

“I scored and then found myself out of the team (last week).

“It’s tough to take (missing out on team selection) to be honest but I know from talking to the gaffer he says different players will play against different teams.

“It’s tough getting used to it but you have to accept it. We’re a team, there’s a good group of boys down there and everyone’s going to get their chance, so when I get called upon I need to be ready.”

Graham could get his first team recall against Fleetwood at Ewood Park tonight, where he will face a battle with three big centre halves.

“That will be fun, if selected,” he said.

“We’ll see what the gaffer does. If selected it will be a big battle. I’m used to that and I’m ready for that. I’m chomping at the bit to play and score goals and move us up the league.”

He added: “I haven’t come up against them before but we know they’re a good team, they’ve been around the play-offs in League One and they play some good football. It will be a tough game but we need to worry about ourselves and make sure we get the three points.”

While it is Rovers’ first meeting with Fleetwood, boss Mowbray came up against them while in charge of Coventry during the 2015/16 season - losing at home and winning away.

“Having managed at Coventry for 18 months we came up against Fleetwood on their rise, which was something extraordinary like six promotions in eight seasons,” said the Rovers boss.

“Having watched Fleetwood for a good few hours yesterday it’s going to be a tough game. They are defensively very well organised, they play with three central defenders, some good width, two strikers. They get a lot of men behind the ball, carry a threat on counter attacks and set plays. It’s a tough game for us.”
