DANNY Graham has urged Roves to make the most of tonight’s game in hand, at home to Fleetwood Town.

Tony Mowbray’s men have the incentive of moving into the play-off places in League One if they can take maximum points from the club’s first encounter with the Cod Army.

And Graham insists it is an opportunity not to be past up.

“We know how important it is. There’s a lot to play for,” said the striker.

“It’s one of our games in hand and if we win we move up into the top six. “We need to make sure we put on a good performance.”

And Graham believes a positive mood in the camp after picking up four points from two games can help.

“I think everyone’s on a bit of a high with the Portsmouth game and then going down to 10 men at Wigan and getting the result we did (a 0-0 draw) and showing the grit and determination we needed to get a point - I think everyone’s buzzing and looking forward to the game,” said the 32-year-old, who came off the bench to help Rovers see the game out at the DW Stadium.

Of his Wigan cameo the former Sunderland frontman added: “It was pretty thankless but I felt as though I did quite well. I held the ball up at times when it came up and when I went back for corners I won the corners at the front post and managed to help the boys out who had defended ever so well for most of the game.

“Everyone’s buzzing with the point with 10 men, we can’t be too greedy, but hopefully we get three points (tonight) and move us up the table.”

And Graham is especially keen to make home form count.

Rovers have won three of their last four games in the league at Ewood Park, drawing with Plymouth in the other, and as a result are unbeaten on their own turf since a 1-0 reverse against AFC Wimbledon on September 16.

“I think we played very well against Portsmouth, as we did against Plymouth although we could still be playing them now and it would probably still be 1-1. It was just one of those games when nothing went for us,” Graham added.

“The home performances have been good of late and hopefully we can continue that.”
