A NEW 38-bedroom hotel, bistro bar and grill is set to open its doors next week.

The Spinning Block at Holmes Mill, Clitheroe, is the latest phase of the £10million redevelopment of the former derelict textile mill.

The venue, owned by James’ Places, will be taking bookings from Saturday.

Operations manager Andrew Bailey said: “The Bistro, a modern British seafood and grill restaurant, will continue the food hall ethos of championing local produce, complementing the beer hall with its bar menu and the Boiler House Café with its amazing cakes and pastries.

“We also expect the hotel to appeal to those attending an event at the mill, or in central Clitheroe, who wish to stay over.

“In addition, corporate customers will find the hotel a useful addition to our multi-use function room.”

The mill is also the home of Bowland Brewery and the Boiler House Cafe and Gelateria.

The Spinning Block will initially open Thursday to Saturday until December 14, when it will be open every day except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, until January 1.

It will then revert to Thursday to Saturday opening from January 4 until Easter 2018.

During this phase the first 16 bedrooms plus the bar, bistro and grill will be open.
