AN historic house is appealing for help this Hallowe'en.

Bosses at Samlesbury Hall in Preston New Road, Samlesbury are planning a spooky spectacular, complete with witches and treasure hunts, but still needs some help.

They are searching for any spare pumpkins, conkers or even some skeletons.

Samlesbury Hall director Sharon Jones said: "Halloween is always a popular time at the hall for all the family and this year we have some great attractions."

The fun starts on Monday, October 30 with Witch Janey for half term fun, with stories, spell-making, treasure hunts and crafts starting from 10.30am every day until Friday.

On Hallowe'en night itself you can take an extra special witchy walkthrough with Janey through the Hall’s haunted rooms.

The hall which dates back to 1325 and can boast its own ghouls, is run by a charitable trust and offers free entry.

Anyone who can help can contact the hall on 01254 812010.
