A LANDMARK house has been given a £25,000 boost to ensure its windows 'last another winter'.
Churchfield House in Great Harwood has been given the money by Hyndburn Council for new windows.
The site was gifted to the Urban District Council by its owner, former councillor Milton Haydock, after his death in 1926.
A total of £25,889 was given to the site to replace the windows.
Lynn Wilson, from Churchfield House, said: "The people of Great Harwood and Churchfield House volunteers have been really concerned in recent years about the state of the windows, which would not have lasted another winter.
"We are really looking forward to seeing the new windows in place."
The site is run by volunteers Churchfield House Ltd and is available to hire for events and is also home to a popular café.
