PREPARATIONS are well underway for East Lancashire Hospice's Christmas celebrations.

The charity will be hosting its Christmas fayre at Oswaldtwistle Civic Arts Centre and Theatre on Saturday, November 11.

The family friendly event will feature plenty of festive stalls to browse and the annual event is expected to be bigger than ever before.

Two companies based in Clayton-le-Moors, R Briggs and Whalley Catering, have signed up to sponsor the event.

Sharon Crymble, fundraising manager at the hospice, said: "We are extremely grateful of the support from R Briggs and Whalley Catering and really excited for the community to start their festive season at East Lancashire Hospice's magical Christmas event.

"The Christmas fayre is always a special date in the hospice calendar and we are inviting everyone to come along and join us."

Visitors will have the chance to win some prizes in a raffle, send festive cards from the Hospice's charity range, browse the stalls and tuck into mince pies and mulled wine.

A Father Christmas Experience with Santa and his Lapland elf is also on offer that needs booking in advance at eastlancshospice.org.uk/christmas-fayre-2017.
