CHORLEY will be without key pair Matty Urwin and Nick Haughton for their FA Cup first round tie against League One side Fleetwood Town next month.

The duo are on loan from the Cod Army and as such can't play against Uwe Rosler's side for the Magpies.

The news will be a blow for Matt Jansen's side who secured their place in round one for the first time in 27 years with a thrilling extra-time win over Boston United on Tuesday with Haughton netting a hat-trick in the 4-3 win.

The duo's absence prompted a tongue in cheek tweet from Chorley's official club account advertising for new players. The tweet read: Wanted. Keeper and midfielder. Must be able to play against @ftfc in the #EmiratesFAcup #flymagpiesfly"

And Chorley boss Jansen admitted the pair's absence would be felt come first round day on Saturday, November 4.

He said: "Unfortunately, and it is not necessarily Fleetwood's choice, but the FA rules state that a player on loan can't play against their parent club and those two are obviously Fleetwood players.

"It is a bit of a blow to us but we will cross that bridge closer to the time."

The Magpies resume their National League North campaign on Saturday when they entertain FC United of Manchester.

Chorley have pieced together a fine run of form to climb into the top seven and will be hoping to make it three league wins on the bounce against their struggling visitors who make the trip to Victory Park in the bottom three.
