FIREFIGHTERS are at the scene of a blaze in a building next to a pub.
Crews from Accrington and Blackburn have attended the incident at an old farm house next to The Old Mother Redcap, Blackburn Road, Oswaldtwistle.
The cause of the fire is under investigation but arson has not been ruled out.
The incident happened on the first floor of the building at at around 7am.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the building and helped put the fire out.
Crews are still at the scene damping down.
Nobody was inside the building at the time of the blaze.
A fire service spokesman said : "Fire crews from Blackburn and Hyndburn attended reports of a derelict building fire on Blackburn Road, Oswaldtwistle.
"When they arrived at the incident they found the fire involved a two storey detached building which was under renovation alight.
"The fire was located on the first floor of the property and crews brought the fire under control using a triple extension ladder and two hose reel.
"Two firefighters also wore breathing apparatus to tackle the fire. Crews are currently still at the scene damping down any hot spots. A fire investigation into the cause of the fire will soon be underway."
