A HEALTH watchdog was successful in receiving an award for its work with children and young people recently.
Healthwatch Blackburn with Darwen (BwD) received the 'Investing in Children' Award as part of the Amplify Project during a celebration event at Darwen Aldridge Enterprise Studio, Police Street, Darwen, recently.
Over 50 people attended the event, including commissioners, public health, the mayor of Darwen, Nightsafe, Blackburn Youth Zone & Lancashire Mind.

The award comes as Healthwatch BwD celebrates two years of the Amplify Project which has seen them engage with over 2000 children and young people, working in partnerships with schools and youth organisations in the borough.
