STORM Ophelia left its mark on East Lancashire last night as winds continue to affect the area.
A tree was toppled near the Shireburn Arms at Hurst Green and the road was blocked.
Police have since said that it was cleared overnight.
The Met Office have reported that the winds will gradually ease during the day.
"It turns mostly dry with some sunny spells. The odd shower is possible through the afternoon and it will feel fresher than during recent days with a maximum temperature 15c."
Meanwhile tonight the winds will fall light overnight and staying mainly dry with some clear spells.
It will be a chilly night with patchy frost and fog possible. Perhaps a little rain in the south later. Minimum temperature 5 °C.
