A MAN has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a teenage girl.
Burnley Crown Court heard Michael William Harvey, 60, of Rockcliffe Lane, Bacup, sexually assaulted the victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, in a ‘number of ways’.
Prosecuting Emma Kehoe said the abuse began when the victim was 16 and started with ‘inappropriate touching' then progressed to moving his hands up the alleged victim’s top and under her underwear. On other occasions he kissed the complainant on the mouth.
Harvey was found guilty on nine counts of sexual activity with a child and 10 sexual assaults.
He will be sentenced at Preston Crown Court on October 19.
