A FORMER East End gangster is to hold a number of talks at churches across Blackburn.
John Pridmore spent time in prison as a teenager and then started working for criminal gangs.
After he nearly killed a man outside a nightclub he was working at he decided to change his life and now travels the world speaking in parishes, schools and prisons.
His book From Gangland to Promised Land became an international bestseller.
Mr Pridmore will be speaking at Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church in Pilmuir Road on Saturday, September 16 at 5.30pm and at St Theresa's Church in Bentley Street at 6.30pm.
On the Sunday he will speak again at Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church at 9.30am and at St Joseph's Church in Audley Range at 11.15am.
