A MAN who admitted to committing criminal damage has been given an absolute discharge.
Burnley Magistrates Court heard Jamie Lee Ronald Chadwick, 20, of George Street, Accrington, caused £3,700 of damage to a property in George Street, Accrington, belonging to Oliver Tennant.
The court head the offence took place between March 17, 2016 and .March 20, 2017.
Chadwick pleaded guilty to a single count of damaging property or being reckless as to whether such property would be destroyed or damaged.
But by admitting that offence he was in breach of a suspended sentence order imposed by the same court on October 28 for an offence of assault occasioning actual bodily harm on Miles Gorton.
For that offence, which took place on March 28, 2016, Chadwick was given a sentence of 16 weeks, suspended for 12 months.
Chadwick admitted breaching that order.
Magistrates decided to extend the operational period by a further 13 months.
No orders for cost or compensation were made by magistrates.
