A MEMORIAL event in memory of Olivia-Campbell Hardy, who was tragically killed in the Manchester attack, will be held in Rossendale this month.

Winfield Outdoors, Hazel Mill on Blackburn Road, Haslingden will host a memorial charity event for 15-year-old Olivia on August 26 from 11am to 7pm.

There is a £5 entry free for attendees and the money raised will be donated to Olivia's school, Tottington High School, for them to buy school instruments for pupils.

The event's organiser Chris Gibson said: "All money the money we raise will be used to buy musical instruments in Olivia's memory so that kids at school can carry on doing what she loved."

The event will include a licensed bar, a kid's funfair and Star Wars Garrison Troopers will be making an appearance.

Nine bands are set to appear in a live a concert which will include a local band from Tottingham High School.

More than 1,500 motorbikes will also be in attendance in a live outdoor showcase.

Mr Gibson, who has been manager at Winfield Outdoors for five years, said: "Prizes will include a signed boxing glove from Ricky Hatton and a signed Manchester United shirt from Wayne Rooney.

"I would say this is the busiest event that Haslingden has seen in years."
