A MAN suffered a fractured skull after being assaulted in a takeaway.
Police said the 52-year-old man had a bleed on the brain as a result of the attack which happened at the Number 10 takeaway, Dockray Street, Colne, at 3.10am on Sunday.
No arrests have been made.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
A police spokesman said: "We were called at around 3.10am on August 13th to reports of an assault at a premises on Dockray Street, Colne.
"We attended and found a 52-year-old man had been punched, suffering a fractured skull and bleeding to the brain. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
"Our enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made as yet.
"Anybody with information about the incident is asked to call police on 101, quoting log number 267 of August 13th."
