A TEENAGE girl is set to have a close shave to mark the first anniversary of the death of her grandma.
Stevie Stuart-Rourke, 15, is having her head shaved in memory of her grandmother Joan next month.
Her father Simon Rourke, 50, of Park Street, said “She came and said ‘dad can I have my hair shaved off for charity and donate my hair and the money I raise to charity?’
“I agreed and she asked me if I would have to do it as well - so I agreed. She told me I wasn’t able to have my hair cut or beard shaved until we have them cut on 19 August at Supercuts Accrington at 2.30pm.”
They have set themselves a target of £500 and all money raised will go to East Lancashire Hospice.
