One of the Alleyways in Hudson Street
PLANS have been submitted to build six lockable gates in Accrington to help reduce crime.
Proposals submitted to Hyndburn Council show the gates would enclose rear alleyways of three roads.
Gates would enclose 30 to 62 on South Street and 1 Hudson Street.
Other gates would enclose one to 33 Hudson Street and number 3 Hudson Street, 54 to 86 Royds Street, including 9 Hudson Street and 1 to 33 Augusta Street and 11 Hudson Street.
Houses between 2 and 32 Augusta Street, including 13 Hudson Street and 1 to 31 Wilfred Street would also be enclosed, totalling 93 houses.
