POLICE say they are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of an Accrington woman who has gone missing.

Catherine Allsager, known as Cathy, 37, was last seen at around 11am on Saturday at an address on Richmond Road in the town.

Officers are concerned for her wellbeing and are asking anyone who has seen her or knows where she is to contact police immediately.

Insp Jon Cisco from Blackburn Police said: “We need to find Cathy and so if you have seen her or know where she may be, please get in touch.

“Similarly, if Cathy herself sees this appeal, I would urge her to contact us or a family member to let us know she is OK.”

Police are investigating the possibility that Cathy may be in company of a 59-year-old man in a grey Citroen C5, registration Y639 MFG. They may have travelled to Cambridgeshire or Norfolk.

She is described as white, 5ft 4ins tall, of medium build, with a fair complexion and shoulder-length blonde hair with red tips.

Anyone with information is asked to call 01254 353901 or if they fail to get an answer, 101, quoting log number LC-20170716-0252.
