TWO boys have been injured in Burnley after a collision with a car.

The boys, both 13, riding bicyles, collided with a car on the junction of Hammerton Street and Manchester Road at around 1.40pm.

The pair have been taken to Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool with head injuries and the other a suspected broken arm.

Police, ambulance crew and the air ambulance attended the scene and closed the road for over an hour to allow for treatment.

Sgt Lee Campbell said: "The car stopped after the incident and no one has been arrested."
