A CURRY restaurant has raised more than £200 in memory of victims of the terrorist attack in Manchester.

Balti House, in Rishton, hosted the prayer and meal event on Thursday to raise money for the ‘We Love Manchester’ charity fund.

More than 40 people attended to enjoy a two-course meal and hold a prayer in memory of those who died in the attack last month.

Hussain Rashid, who runs the restaurant with his brothers, said: “It went really well, it was a big success.

“We just thought it would be fitting for everyone to come together after such a tragedy and raise money.

“Everybody loved it and we received some really great feedback.

“There really is more that unites us than divides us.”

In total, £211.50 was raised.

The restaurant holds monthly charity night to help feed those in need.
