MORE than a thousand homes in East Lancashire were left without power this afternoon.
The power cut affected 1,541 homes at its height in the BB5 Clayton-le-Moors area.
Engineers have now fixed the outage which happened at around 1pm with supplies restored by 2.15pm to the Moorfield Industrial Estate and surrounding area.
Electricity North West tweeted earlier:

The energy company apologised for any inconvenience caused by the power cut.
Huncoat Primary school in Accrington said on social media its phone lines had been down due to the power cut.
