A WAREHOUSE worker who kissed a woman the moment her partner left the room was full of apologies later, a court heard.
Sean Pennington, 23, had become friends with his victim on Facebook before they went for a night out drinking with her girlfriend, Burnley Crown Court was told.
Emma Kehoe, prosecuting, said when they returned to their bedsit, the young woman’s partner left the room briefly, when Pennington kissed the victim a number of times.
The court heard the woman took offence and Pennington was asked to leave. He apologised later for his actions on social media.
Pennington, of Grey Street, Burnley, who had no previous convictions, admitted a sexual assault charge and was conditionally discharged for two years with £200 costs and a £50 victim surcharge.
