SCARE: Firefighters attended the scene in Oswaldtwistle after someone smelt gas.
FIREFIGHTERS attended a chemical scare in Oswaldtwistle.
Crews were called to Ashley Court at around 7.30pm last night after a man said he could smell chemicals.
He was taken to hospital for precautionary treatment and firefighters carried out checks on the area and found no leaks.
A fire service spokesman said: "The man was taken for treatment after he said he had trouble breathing because of chemicals.
"We then checked the area and ensured it was safe."
