OFFICERS have launched an investigation after a man was caught looking at people in the men’s toilets at a Lancashire railway station.

The incident happened on April 20 just after 12pm.

A man went to use public toilets at the station and whilst in the cubicle a hand appeared on the floor of the neighbouring cubicle catching the attention of the man.

The man looked down and saw the face of a man looking into the cubicle.

The victim challenged the man once he came out.

Preston railway staff also challenged the man and he ran away via the subway and out of the station.

Investigating officer PC Neil Rawsthorne said: “I would like to speak to anyone who may have information about this incident or to anyone who was in the toilets at the time of the incident and saw someone acting suspiciously.

“This was an act of voyeurism and very concerning. Any information big or small could help.”

Anyone with any information should contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016 citing reference 199 of 26/04/17.
